Thanks for taking the time to take care of this! I have already tested
the current revision of your patch
and it works as I expected: https://pastebin.com/28UBYTLt

At the moment creating and managing NVMM/QEMU virtual machines via
CBSD works for me on DragonflyBSD.
I will try to submit CBSD to dports soon: https://github.com/cbsd/dports-cbsd

PS: is there any chance of getting this in the upcoming 6.1-RELEASE?
