As for the other question about how the loopback address behaves, it
seems to act like that article describes: in the jail
represents the first assigned address (at least for IPv4, I didn't test
IPv6). This is how it looks: 

xo# jail /home/chuck/full-jail/ full-jail /bin/sh
# python3 -m http.server --bind --directory /root/a 8000
Serving HTTP on port 8000 (

You can bind to, as shown, or to directly.
Either way, the service is available at
