Yes, DPorts has been officially adopted for Release 3.6, but it was
heavily used on Release 3.4, so close to a year already.
The GOOD NEWS:
You don't have to build anything.
Everything is available as a pre-built package.
Just use "pkg", and "pkg search" etc and install the binaries you want.
Very quick and painless. The only reason to build your own packages is
to have packages with non-default options.
