I've been working on this with the bulk builds on pkgbox.  This was, with
1.10 and the 2007q3 pkgsrc release, a week of turnaround at the very most.
 The current build I started weeks ago - I may just kill it and start with
the next quarterly release.  It's taking so long because of the
interruptions from the network and packages getting stuck and so on, and
(I suspect?) gcc4 vs. gcc3.

I haven't been able to pay more than 10 minutes attention at a time to it,
recently, which is part of the problem.  (Suummer of Code ate my brain!  I
need to copy the work results out and document where it all is, plus
actually send the bulk build results to the right pkgsrc list - it's hard
for people actively involved in pkgsrc to fix things for DragonFly when
I'm not providing the list.

This just needs someone with an interest and (this would probably follow
because of that) a commit bit.
