If I had the know-how I would be anxious to contribute my time
free of charge -- in exchange for all of the work your team has
already donated. Alas, I don't know enough.
Meanwhile, I'm trying to learn enough to help with the pkgsrc
effort, which is more in keeping with my limited skills.
All progress is made in spurts. Every field of science has always
obeyed this rule and, IMHO, always will. To expect more of the
DragonFly project is to invite despair for no reason at all.
This project has attracted the attention of some extremely talented
people, many of whom are still sitting on the sidelines, waiting to
see what happens. I predict that one more spurt of progress is all
that will be needed to draw them in. I will be pleased to buy two
beers (anywhere in the world) for anyone who can demonstrate that
my prediction is wrong :o)
