Changes between now and next week's release

I have the opportunity to do some testing over the next couple of days.  How
different would a snapshot today or tomorrow be from release next week?

I'd like to try it and see if the timer issues remain, as well as a few other
issues I need to check out before I commit to something for my production
machine.
