I think I have the same issue on my desktop.  Plainly hangs there.

If I set acpi_dsdt_load in loader.conf (why can't I disable that from loader directly?), new ACPI will segfault (NULL pointer) somewhere in AcpiDsDeleteTable or so (need to try again), even before the system can hang :)

Without the table, however, I get shitloads of stray interrupt 7's (making the boot take about 5 minutes or so).  Yet, they stop occuring when init gets started.  Last message from the kernel then is: intr 5: livelock removed.  I can't help myself, but I think interrupt 5 and 7 somehow belong together there.
