Bug #3459: fuse(4)/mount_fusefs/ntfs-3g: hang in the I/O helper, zero file handle, short reads, explicit truncate, "nempty" option
http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/3459
* Author: sigttou
* Status: New
* Priority: Normal
* Category: Kernel
* Target version: 6.6
* Start date: 2026-11-02
----------------------------------------
ntfs-3g 2022.10.3 on DragonFly:
* a mount with ntfs-3g's default options is refused outright
* a file whose daemon handle is 0 is never released, so after unlink it stays behind as @.fuse_hidden*@ (and rmdir fails)
* a short @FUSE_READ@ reply leaves stale bytes in the buffer
* an explicit @ftruncate()@ after an extending write is ignored
* and heavy I/O can hang forever.
The first four are bugs in the driver and in @mount_fusefs@, the hang is a lost wakeup in the FUSE BIO helper thread.
