user-ppp problems with new kernel

Hi !

    I'll setup two machines and play with user ppp to try to reproduce 
    the problem. 
I have a similar Problem with user-ppp and DSL.
Sometimes it just hangs and is only killable with -KILL.
Leaving a stale configured tun0 behind...
This behaviour started in the same period.
If I can do anything to provide information, let me know.
