Just a snipped of working smartd.conf file for people who might have
similar problem

/dev/da0  -d sat -a -o on -S on -s (S/../.././00|L/../../6/01) -m root

smartd works for me on 4.8-RELEASE DragonFly v4.8.1.5.g69508-RELEASE #9
