diff - GNU og BSD ?

I was preparing an import of the newest diffutils (2.8.1), when joerg
brought up the OpenBSD diff vs. GNU diff discussion.

Does anyone have comparison of the two? Any big speed difference? Any
other reasons for a change except the lisence?

I have patch and tar.bz2 files ready for diffutils 2.8.1 for those who may
want to test it.

remove the existing contrib/diff directory, unpack the tar.bz2 file and
copy the diff dir to contrib/ then apply the patch, you should be ready to
compile after that.
