Hi,

Great that you’re interested in DragonFly and contributing. However, I’m afraid that the mailing list doesn’t well suit the porting guide/tutorial, which involves many details and trials and errors, especially for newcomers. It could be hard to fix some broken ports that are already in FreeBSD Ports, and it’s even harder to port new ones.

The best docs are the FreeBSD book and the DragonFly webpage that you’ve already mentioned.

For extra help, I suggest you join our IRC channel #dragonflybsd on EFNet. Just hang there and discuss the issues.
