There's a patch in FreeBSD that fixes a "kldunload" issue on their side:

Not sure if this would fix your kernel panic. In case yours is
reproducible, you might wannt give that patch a try.
There's quite a lot of work going on mainly by Christos Margiolis
concerning the sound subsystem in FreeBSD, which at some point in time,
we probably want to bring into DragonFly. Shouldn't be too difficult.
