French keyboard and display accents

Hello,
I’m using DragonFlyBSD for first time and I would like to configure my system to use a French keyboard layout in a TTY (console mode), and also make sure accented characters (é, è, ç, etc.) display correctly.
What is the recommended way to set this up on DragonFlyBSD? Are there specific configuration files or commands I should use?
