Thank you for your input. I have run pkg upgrade -f and still have "caught
signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Server aborting".
I have some lines
_setmaster_ioctl: already has one XXX ignored
_setmaster_ioctl: is not master, set masterxf86: found device 1.
?6: remove device 0 /dev/dri/card0
*****
_dropmaster_ioctl
...
How do I adjust the modesetting driver? In /etc/X11/Xorg.conf,
I have run
# Xorg -configure
And run test for Xorg . Screen stays black.
