A lot of pain, bugs and dissapointment in an attempt to get a functional desktop

So do you people have any ideas on how to get Xorg working? I would like
to help with testing, but my time is up, and by this point I have to try other operating systems to get a proper desktop, it seems. Well, it was an interesting experience, at least.
