How are Dport packages managed? Can regular user contrib or only admins can do that?

Not "maybe", that's how it is! Now keep in mind something very important here! I don't want this to sound like complaining. I'm not an entitled little prince that was the best things for free. That's also why I want to help. This is just the realization that made my interesting in helping in the first place. I never helped anyone in the open source community that I love so much and I feel kinda lucky because this has gave me the motivation to help and care about DragonFlyBSD as an OS in whole!

Thank you! I will check it out. Tho because I'm first replying to the email, I want to make a question and sorry if it is answer in the link you gave me (in that case, you should as well not bother to answer if you don't want and tell me that it exists here so I can read it). My question is, DPorts is synced with the latest FreeBSD Ports or a snapshot is used every time? I'm asking because in contrast to DragonFlyBSD, FreeBSD has most packages in the latest versions so I suppose the second is true and every package is checked separately because if that was not the case then the package that would work, would be in the same version. But of course I may be wrong hence why I ask.

Nice! Unfortunately, when I uploaded the email, I was ready to install DragonFlyBSD for the first time in real hardware to test and see things in the "real word" but for my bad luck, it wasn't able to boot from my USB in which I use Ventoy. I already mentioned it in the Ventoy issue page on Github and I wait for the fix so this has to wait (hopefully) a little bit more. In the meantime, I will see the links that you showed and try to learn some stuff to actually at least win some time as I wait.

Did you leaved this empty because you don't have an answer or something else happened. I would suppose that you wouldn't add that part at all if you didn't wanted (or couldn't) to answer so I thought about asking if something happened when sending the email anyway. Thank you for your time!
