Hi Holm,
You are very welcome on this list. Sometimes people are quite busy, so
please don't get offended or distracted by that. The community in
general is very helpful.
In general, DragonFly's hardware support for desktop systems is not
optimal. You might find things that are not working, bluetooth for
example. It's better suited for server use. But I use it on my desktop
too, but it was a long way to bring up Radeon support.
Can you post your ACPI hang problem please?
Regarding the long delay when starting X: Have you tried to disable for
example the Radeon card in BIOS (if possible)? Maybe take a look at
vga_switcheroo? Don't know if this applies to your laptop.
Can't say anything about your CD-ROM problems. I don't own one anymore
:)
