Question about fdescfs and openjdk

Hi all -

I'm trying to get a 5.0.2 workstation set up for fun and learning and I'm
trying to get fdescfs mounted as per the install message from openjdk:

mount -t fdescfs fdesc /dev/fd

but when run the mount command returns
"mount: exec mount_fdescfs not found in /sbin, /usr/sbin: No such file or
directory". I see there are some comments regarding removing fdescfs back,
e.g. "devfs handles this" but I wanted to be sure I'm not missing something
else.

Thanks,
Bridger
