Booting from PCIe SSD

Greetings,

Does anyone have any experience booting Dragonfly on an SSD mounted on a PCIe lane? The board (Intel) that I am currently working with has 4 internal SATA ports. I'd like to add an SSD for boot and swapcache while not "sacrificing" the use of a full 3.5 inch bay and SATA port otherwise used for storage. 

The machine has a PCIe x16 Gen 2.x lane free which seems suitable for an SSD. The model that appears to have the features that I am looking for is this one http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempossd.html

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
