# cd /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/
# cat df-releases.conf
does show some mirrors, but indeed they all say
When you say: # cd; echo "exec startxfce4" > .xinitrc
Was the semi-colon after the cd on purpose, or a typo?
The result here is:
startx: Command not found.
