progress on mini-roadmap

I second this. Redmine's roadmap support is great, and as long as
features/bugs are tracked in redmine (which they are), we can easily map
them to release targets and shuffle as needed (priorities, maturity, etc.)

Hi,

The effort to organize and create the roadmap is appreciated but, since
DrgonflyBSD is using Redmine and it has nice road maps... maybe we can give
a chance to Redmine's road maps next time

 http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/roadmap

Btw, I love Google docs.

Cheers

Probably most people have forgotten about the 3.7 "mini-roadmap" by now,
but it's still being worked on:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmOIvwOJYx_rdHFpYTFKeEtiRjh0c2x

A lot of tasks are complete, and several more have been started on. If
somebody who is working an incompletely task wants to talk about the
progress they've made, I'm sure we'd love to hear about it.

I'm slowly adding tasks to the list when somebody makes a comment on
users@ or IRC. In fact, the recent "daemon" update was spawned from an
IRC comment (pun intended). So users do have some influence on getting
(bite-size) features in the next release.

Since it was decided there was a need for yet more places to keep track of
projects, it would be great if someone was at least making sure any
projects in this mini roadmap that get completed that also were listed on
any of the project pages get removed from those places.

Sam
