Why VMware Virtual disk so slow (da0: 3.300MB/s transfers) ?

I did a diff just now and a quick scan didn't show an awful lot of  
differences. To be sure, I'll sync again with what they have and put up a  
patch for you to try tonight. I'm not convinced it is the mpt(4) driver's  
issue, though.
