Hello,
I am trying to recover a test image (10GB) which I have deleted. The file
is present in various of my snapshots, and I do not realize how to recover
it:
. by cpdup from a snapshot to their directory?
. by simply cp from a snapshot to their directory?
. by undo -o test.img test.img@@0xlast_tid?
Trying a hammer history to see when it became alive and when it died, I got
rtcprime# hammer history test.img
test.img 0000000106d2f8a2 clean {
0000000106d38630 11-May-2012 00:37:12
000000010f0f94d0 26-May-2012 01:28:08
}
from inside a snap. And from the same snap, I got
rtcprime# undo -ia test.img
test.img: ITERATE ENTIRE HISTORY
0x0000000106d38610 11-May-2012 00:37:10 file-deleted
0x0000000106d38630 11-May-2012 00:37:12
this is suposed to be that way? Am I doing some confusion, or is it wrong?
Both the commands must present the same TIDs?
When I issued another undo, with verbose option:
rtcprime# undo -vai test.img
test.img: ITERATE ENTIRE HISTORY
