Dircolors outputs color settings for ls, and 'ls -G' on BSD gives you
color output, so I think you're as well off either way. However,
there's probably some difference I'm not seeing.
You can set LS_COLORS in your .bashrc and probably get the same
effect, without having an extra program run before each 'ls'.
