Some problems installing dragonFly BSD. Can anybody help?

That's a good idea (and I have vbox to hand).  Many of the problems 
relate to the particular hardware (e.g., configuring the network), but I 
could at least iron out the other problems.  Thanks

That way, you can install&  configure all your needed stuff from the ground up (xorg, window manager, pkgsrc etc.) and copy most config files on your real DF system.
