It's nfe0: <NVIDIA MCP67 Gigabit Ethernet> port 0xd880-0xd887 mem
0xfdffe000-0xfdffe00f,0xfdffe400-0xfdffe4ff,0xfdffc000-0xfdffcfff irq 7
at device 10.0 on pci0

This nvidia mcp67 stuff is probably part of the problem. There is also

vgapci0: <VGA-compatible display> mem
0xfb000000-0xfbffffff,0xd0000000-0xdfffffff,0xfc000000-0xfcffffff irq 7
at device 18.0 on pci0

ohci0: <OHCI (generic) USB controller> mem 0xfdfff000-0xfdffffff irq 7
at device 2.0 on pci0 atapci0: <nVidia nForce MCP67 UDMA133 controller>
port 0xffa0-0xffaf,0x376,0x170-0x177,0x3f6,0x1f0-0x1f7 at device 6.0 on
pci0

pci0: <serial bus, USB> (vendor 0x10de, dev 0x055f) at device 4.1 irq 7

and

pci0: <multimedia, HDA> (vendor 0x10de, dev 0x055c) at device 7.0 irq 7

using irq7, and other mcp67 stuff

atapci0: <nVidia nForce MCP67 UDMA133 controller> port
0xffa0-0xffaf,0x376,0x170-0x177 ,0x3f6,0x1f0-0x1f7 at device 6.0 on pci0

ahci0: <NVidia-MCP67-SATA> port
0xdc00-0xdc0f,0xe000-0xe003,0xe080-0xe087,0xe400-0xe403,0xe480-0xe487
mem 0xfdff6000-0xfdff7fff irq 10 at device 9.0 on pci0 ahci0: AE did
not auto-clear! ahci0: AHCI 1.1 capabilities
0xe3229f03<S64A,NCQ,SSNTF,SAL,SCLO,SPM,PMD>, 4 ports, 32 tags/port, gen
1 (1.5Gbps) and 2 (3Gbps)

For X I am using the vesa driver because I couldn't find a good
configuration for the nv driver and my monitor.

I will attach the dmesg output from the last boot. Sometimes I see a
"intr 5 at 40001/40000 hz, livelocked limit engaged!", but not in the
attached version. Oh, and in one intr 5 livelock case irq 5 is used for

ohci0: <OHCI (generic) USB controller> mem 0xfdfff000-0xfdffffff irq 5
at device 2.0 on pci0
pci0: <serial bus, USB> (vendor 0x10de, dev 0x055f) at device 4.1 irq 5
pci0: <multimedia, HDA> (vendor 0x10de, dev 0x055c) at device 7.0 irq 5
