usb disk problems anyone?

:Wondering if anyone is having any problems getting 2x USB HDD's online

:Had a key in one drive, plugged in a SATA hdd, and it didn't scan,
:left both in, rebooted, neither was there,
:rebooted w/o usb key, sata showed up..
:not a sata power up issue as this drive is externally powered..

    It sounds like CAM is getting stuck in the USB driver somewhere

    USB has been a real headache, I'm not surprised at all that it is
    creating problems here too.
