Hi all,
HEAD users only.
lapic timer is enabled by default, it only affects SMP kernel currently.
During boot, you could disable it by setting tunable: hw.lapic_timer_enable="0"
On a running system, you could disable it by: sysctl hw.cputimer_intr_type=0
If you use C3, lapic timer will be disabled when you set
hw.acpi.cpu.cx_lowest to C3.
By default, i8254 interrupt is registered, if you sure that C3 will
not be used, you could set following tunable:
hw.i8254.intr_disable="1"
If you have encountered any problem, please report back. Thanks.
Best Regards,
sephe
