    Ultimately the cluster goals would take care of this by allowing
    processes to migrate off a physical machine, then rebooting the
    physical machine, then migrating them back.

    I do not think the ksplice concept will work well in practice, except
    for very simple patch sets which involve only minor code changes.
    OS modifications often involve adjusting structures and it is not
    possible to splice a structural change into a running kernel.
    Because of this I think it is going to be more trouble then its worth.
