:Hey, sounds like every staff meeting I've ever suffered through. Is it
:really true that the second happiest day in a boat owner's life is the
:day he buys it -- and the happiest is the day he sells it? :o)

The first time a newly minted boat owner actually SAILS his vessel
will either be the happiest day of his life or the most agonizing,
and he will then either keep the boat for a long time or he will
    sell it immediately.

Other then that the sticker shock from the maintainance requirements
(boats being money sinks) can become an issue. A lot of more casual
sailors go for smaller non-ocean-going trialerable boats which have
    very low maintainance requirements.

But, hell, I've been sailing since I was 7 years old so I guess I'm in
    the former category.
