Code bounty for linux emu update

bounty (not all look at the wiki that much ... including me).
I was actually looking at pulling in the changes from FreeBSD the other 
day on my own. If anyone wants the bounty go for it, if not I'm looking 
for a project and I find the linxulator pretty interesting.
