Any suggestions from the Dfly community on other benchmarking tools
that would run across the OSs I mention in my first email?

Nah. You have to be more careful with the debugging options in FreeBSD
kernels. FreeBSD release kernels ship with the most invasive options
turned off and development kernels ship with them on.
The debugging options in DragonFly kernels are far less invasive and
we leave them turned on in both development and release kernels,
because getting good, useful crash dumps is more important to us then
the slight (and usually unnoticeable) reduction in performance.
