Evolution permissions problem

Does anyone have 'evolution' working properly on DF?  I finally
discovered after hours of wasted time that evolution runs fine
as root, but it crashes on startup when I run it as me.

I've been using ktrace and gdb, but so far I haven't figured
out where the permissions are going astray.

Any ideas?  Sockets are used heavily in evolution and gnome,
so I'm wondering if maybe that's why I'm having trouble finding
the problem.  Dunno.
