e2fsck segmentation fault

Ive installed sysutils/e2fsprogs. Is there a different one I should use?

I guess e2fsck is from pkgsrc?  uh wait.  you're using the linux 
e2fsck?  that's gonna be a hard thing to debug...  what we basically 
need it a binary with debug syms and then running under linux gdb.  
don't know how to get the one or the other, though.
