Getting pkgmanager to work

Do you mean updating the pkgsrc tree? Or just the mk/ directory. If only 
the mk/ directory, how did you do that?

This happened to me yesterday.  I fixed it by updating the mk/
directory in /usr/pkgsrc/.  Hopefully that works for you too.
