After load the firmware, run:
ifconfig acx0 up
You can scan APs by:
ifconfig acx0 scan
(given you have run ifconfig acx0 up)
2) How to change channels?
ifconfig acx0 channel x
normally it is not necessary.
3) Where does all the configuration go so its saved for next reboot?
put it in /etc/rc.conf
