Amazing what the `glowing edges' filter does in Photoshop, isn't
it? ;-D
I like the effect, would want to see it on a 'stylized', but realisitcally
proportioned outline. The current logo is OK, but it is closer to
a Damselfly, (fore and aft wings similar shape) than a Dragonfly
(hind wing wider at the root than forewing).
If/as/when I get to feeling a[r|u]tistic, I have in mind a graphic for
background screen tiling:
Within a rectangle, aspect ratio comparable to 1024x768
or 1280x1024, neutral grey background, perhaps a texture...
'Primary' Dragonfly aligned on the cell diagonal, head to the right,
'Fred's red body coloring, but iridescent, 'glowing edge' effect.
'Secondary' Dragonfly 2/3 size, between primary and
'cell' lower edge, abaft Fred's right hindwing.
Body in iridescent blued-steel or iridescent chartreuse.
Reduced intensity/opacity.
'Tertiary' Dragonfly, 1/3 size, between 'cell' upper edge and primary,
abaft left hindwing, .. iridescent yellow, purple or orange ,
further reduced intensity/opacity.
'Network of fine PCB traces - 'Manhattan geometry' - that will
matchup with those of other cells when 'tiled' to fill a
screen as background... more than one intensity
Effect? an 'armada' of DragonFly 'processes' - linked by
messaging channels, and asymmetical, but moving
in the same direction....
Just a thought..... the real artist is a different Hacker
(Arthur).
