/tmp is linked to /var/tmp and looks o.k.:

vectra# df -i /tmp
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity iused ifree %iused Mounted on
/dev/ad0s1d 4129310 14386 3784580 0% 2449 495085 0% /var

It is mounted using the following options:

vectra# mount | grep ad0s1d
/dev/ad0s1d on /var (ufs, local, soft-updates)

Checked twice but there are just files and directories.
No named pipes ...

vectra# find /tmp -type p -print
/tmp/screens/S-maus/1862.ttyp0.vectra

(this pipe for screen is o.k.)

vectra# find /tmp -type s -print
vectra# ls -la /tmp
total 380

So everything looks fine (for me) in /tmp
