Unable to open sockets from inside jail enviroment

Hello!

I am having problems initiating a socket connection to a remote host
from inside a jail enviroment. The connection ussually (but not always)
times-out. On the "master", on the other hand, I am able to sucessfully
open a socket connection every single time.

I haveve been told that there has been a problem with socket connections
timing out after 10 sec on some older versions of DragonFly, so it has
been suggested that upgrading kernel to that of the latest STABLE
version would probably solve the problem.

Are there any known issues why it would not be possible to upgrade
kernel on:
DragonFly comp 1.1-CURRENT DragonFly 1.1-CURRENT #0: Fri Sep 17 12:55:30
CEST 2004 root at comp:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC-SMP i386

to the latest STABLE version without upgrading world as well?

Regards,
Jurij
