There's been lots of talk about it - if you browse back far enough on my
work log, you'll see it.  Someone (Joerg?) wrote up a long descriptive
document about what-to-do that is a good place to start.

Matt had been talking about using the VFS system to make installation/port
creation very easy; with completion of that coming sooner than later, it
may be worth looking at this:
