OSS problems.

FYI,

I've hit upon a problem recently when trying to install the
commercial OSS drivers... The drivers install properly on a fresh
install of the ISO from 11/07, but after upgrading to -CURRENT, I get:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
[ root at sorrow - /home/adamk/saved/tarballs/oss ]: ./oss-install
soundoff: not found
Checking for any previously installed sound drivers... Done.
/usr/lib/oss/etc/config.dat: Invalid file header

Usually this means that uncompress command was not found
from any of the directories pointed by the PATH
environment variable. In some Stampede Linux versions
the included uncompress utility can't handle 16 bit format
(you should obtain a more recent version).
kldunload: can't unload file: Operation not permitted
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone have any ideas what has changed between 11/07 and today
that might have had this affect?

Adam
