Nope, I meant more like directly calling IF_DEQUEUE / ether_input.
I still have to think about the splimp vs. splbio protection, but
I think a local spl protection where needed is enough.
One has to IF_ENQUEUE somewhere, and that's not happening. That's 
ultimately the problem.
