[PATCH] remove gawk in favor of nawk

I can do this, will do it either when I get home from The Gathering (a
computer-party) or when I have some free time here.

Matt: Could you remove the gawk source from the cvs tree when I have
commited the patch? No need to keep that in the history, in my opinion.
