Hi,

first off I'm wondering what the deal with all those '::::' is, it makes
the emails less nice to read.

What you need to know depends on the project. "Elementary OS Internals"
means you should be familiar with how an operating system works, how
it's structured, what it's major components are, and a general idea of
how things happen.

The libudev library is a Linux' library, just google for it. I'm
guessing you are talking about the libdevattr update project; if that's
the case, you should be ideally already familiar with libudev and how it
works on Linux. That is pretty much a prerequisite to be able to do that.

Regards,
Alex
