Unable to <git pull>

:Problem with git pull. I was able to pull from git few hours ago but
:now it just refuses.
:it gives an error connection refused, unable to connect a socket.

   Try again.  Avalon was undergoing maintainance.

   If this is related to the pkgsrc git repo look on the users@
   or kernel@ mailing list for my heads-up posting on changes
   to the pkgsrc git.
