XML is neither human-friendly nor machine-friendly,
so you get the worst of each of the other suggestions
(tcap not being human-friendly but easy for the
implementor, and labelled foo=bar blocks being easy
to read & write for humans, but requiring more efforts
from the implementor). :-)
