assistance on web page changes

Can someone modify tablecg.c so that it's possible to put a non-local URL
in the side menu?  Right now, it assumes all links are local, and having
links to external locations is needed to do the layout I want.

I could do it, given enough time, but I'm low on that (and physical
computing resources) at the moment.
