change iov_base's type from `char *' to standard `void *'

I saw that Xorg's xcb assumes iov_base as void *. Looking closer I saw the 
note "iov_base should be a void *" in sys/sys/uio.h.
I haven't tried myself, but someone submit update in:

The FreeBSD commit says:
 Change iov_base's type from `char *' to the standard `void *'.  All
 uses of iov_base which assume its type is `char *' (in order to do
 pointer arithmetic) have been updated to cast iov_base to `char *'.
Does this matter?
