pkgsrc packaging of base?

Well, with regards to having multiple versions of GCC in base... that is
an absolute necessity. It is just not possible for us to 'upgrade' GCC
to a new major release without a huge amount of testing, often by many
people, because new versions of GCC invariably break things. GCC is
undergoing constant development. DragonFly has the infrastructure to
support multiple compilers for just this reason.
